Credits, Payments, and Wallets
How platform credits, LHDN stamp duty payments, and exemption credits work together.
Kenal Stamps uses a triple wallet system. Each wallet serves a different purpose and is funded separately.
The Three Wallets
| Wallet | What it's for | Cost per contract | How to top up |
|---|---|---|---|
| Service Credits | Platform processing fee | 1 credit | Purchase credit packages on the Billing page |
| Duty Wallet | Government stamp duty paid to LHDN | Varies by contract type and value | Bank transfer or online payment |
| Exemption Credits | Duty-exempt employment contracts only | 1 credit per exempt contract | Allocated by Kenal for qualifying organizations |
How They Work Together
When you confirm a contract, the system deducts from the appropriate wallets:
For a standard contract:
- 1 Service Credit (platform fee)
- RM X from the Duty Wallet (the stamp duty amount)
For an exempt employment contract (for example, salary at or below RM 3,000 for contracts dated 2026 onwards):
- 1 Service Credit (platform fee)
- 1 Exemption Credit (instead of the Duty Wallet)
For full details on what qualifies as exempt, see Employment Contract Rules.
Checking Your Balances
You can see your balances in two places:
- The Service Credits and Duty Wallet cards at the top of your Dashboard
- The Billing page at
/dashboard/billing, which also shows your full transaction history
What Happens with Insufficient Balance
If any required wallet does not have enough balance when you try to confirm a contract, the confirmation will not go through. You will see an error message. Top up the relevant wallet and try again.
If you recall a confirmed contract, all wallet charges (service credits, duty, and exemption credits) are refunded in full.
Transaction History
You can view all wallet activity on the Billing page (/dashboard/billing). Filter by transaction type, date range, or contract reference to find what you need.
